PORCELAIN VENEERS

Porcelain Veneers are often an integral part of the smile makeover process and many forms of cosmetic dentistry. Their ability to transform your smile while allowing for beautiful, conservative results, makes them stand out as one of the best options for smile enhancements or makeovers. Porcelain veneers are often the treatment of choice to correct the following issues and much more!

  • Gaps or improperly spaced teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Discolored teeth or non-esthetic tooth colors
  • Crooked teeth
  • Worn down teeth

In addition to addressing these specific concerns, porcelain veneers are exceptionally strong and can be considered a great long-term option to functionally and cosmetically enhance your smile. Due to recent advancements made in dental materials as well as the way that porcelain veneers are bonded to your teeth, you can expect porcelain veneers to last much longer than other types of dental bonding or fillings.

Porcelain veneers are extremely stain resistant and will not discolor like your natural teeth. If you are concerned about the color of your teeth or aren’t happy with your overall smile- porcelain veneers may be a great treatment option for you!

Is now the time to let Stannard, Studt and Tironi Dentistry transform your smile with porcelain veneers? If so, don’t hesitate to contact us  today for more information!

TEETH WHITENING

There are several products that are available to help you achieve a brighter smile and with so many options at your disposal, it is often hard to decide what is best for you. If you are interested in brightening your smile or concerned with the color or appearance of your teeth, teeth whitening may be a great option for you! A consultation appointment with one of our doctors will help you decide on cosmetic options including the type of whitening that is best for your specific situation.

At Home Whitening

Our Dental office offers a custom at-home tray whitening system which is able to whiten your teeth in as little as 1-2 weeks. The process generally takes 30 minutes-1 hour per day and is designed for patients with mild to moderate tooth discoloration or staining. This is still a better option than over-the-counter options that are available.  Our doctors in Waterford MI and our fantastic team will help you decide if at-home whitening is right for you!

In-Office/At Home Whitening

Moderate to heavy staining on teeth often warrant consideration for other cosmetic options including smile makeovers, porcelain veneers, or dental bonding.  Sometimes, however, a combination of in-office and at-home whitening treatments are a great solution.  Our office proudly features the GLO (guided light optics) whitening system which is able to drastically increase the brightness of your smile with virtually no side effects such as tooth sensitivity.

DENTAL BONDING & TOOTH COLORED FILLINGS

Dental bonding or tooth colored fillings are a conservative treatment option to help restore or reshape misaligned, fractured, decayed or worn teeth. Dental bonding involves the direct application of composite resin and is able to be used on front or back teeth. It is generally best suited for smaller, more minor restorative procedures while helping to create a more attractive smile. Tooth colored fillings are also a more conservative and modern alternative to traditional metal fillings. The bonding process can usually be completed in one visit and generally involves minor tooth preparation, application of the bonding and expert shaping to reconstruct the proper tooth shape, contour and color. Final curing and polishing will complete the process of bringing your smile back to life!

While dental bonding and tooth colored fillings play an important role in many restorative and cosmetic dentistry applications, there are situations where other, more comprehensive procedures, are more appropriate. In cases of severe, broken down teeth, full coverage dental crowns or partial coverage porcelain onlays are often chosen as the treatment of choice. Additionally, when complex esthetic concerns or anterior tooth durability is needed, porcelain veneers are often selected as the optimal treatment option. Speaking with one of our doctors about your specific case will allow you to make a personalized and informed decision to help achieve all of your goals.

PORCELAIN CROWNS

Porcelain Crown Impressions

Dental crowns are a type of restoration which is necessary when significant breakdown of a tooth has occurred or when structural support is necessary to strengthen the tooth. Crowns also offer the ability to change the shape, color and appearance of the natural tooth they cover. This allows for cosmetic enhancement as well as functional support of your tooth or teeth when utilizing porcelain crowns. In addition to the benefits already listed, porcelain crowns are able to be adhesively bonded to your natural teeth, allowing for a much stronger connection than other types of crowns utilizing other (often older) materials. Porcelain also mimics the color and translucency of natural teeth. This allows for an extremely natural looking result while providing superior strength and longevity. Other applications for dental crowns often include areas where teeth are missing and a dental implant or dental bridge is planned to replace the tooth or teeth. Dental crowns are included in a dental bridge as well as go on top of dental implants. Crowns are also utilized for most teeth which have previously had an endodontic procedure (root canal).
